Leeds fans have taken to Twitter in jovial fashion after the club tweeted about Stuart Dallas being called up to the Northern Ireland squad.
To the untrained eye, some may have been baffled to see a number of supporters fume at the 29-year-old’s exclusion from the England squad.
Some may also have been confused to see fans describe Dallas as Leeds born, as he was actually born in Cookstown.
In actual fact, the Elland Road faithful were mocking BT Sport for an error of theirs, which they made during the 2-1 win over Newcastle back in January.
BT Sport described Dallas as Leeds born during their commentary of the match, as covered at the time by MOT Leeds News.

Clearly, the commentators that night hadn’t done their homework.
Having said that, no homework would’ve been required if they’d heard Dallas speak – he has an incredibly strong Irish accent!
Months on from their slip-up, the Leeds fans still haven’t forgotten BT Sport’s error as they flocked to the club’s tweet about the versatile No.15.

If Dallas was in fact born in Leeds, then we wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
He’s enjoying a brilliant season under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring five Premier League goals in 28 starts, while also assisting two goals.
Let’s see how the Leeds fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s tweet…
