Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after their U23s beat Derby County’s youth side 3-1 on Monday.
Spurs’ senior side have had a number of issues in recent weeks, but their U23s are absolutely flying.
Dilan Markanday in particular has been impressing for Spurs’ youth side, and fans online have been raving about the youngster.
The 20-year-old is having a brilliant season for the U23s. He’s played seven games and he’s already scored five goals as well as providing four assists.
Unsurprisingly, with the first-team struggling, Spurs supporters have been calling for Markanday to get a chance in the senior squad, and to be honest, that wouldn’t be a bad idea after Sunday’s shocking showing.
Markanday once again found the back of the net on Monday, and if he keeps up this level of form, it will surely be impossible for Nuno Espirito Santo to ignore him for much longer.
