
Some Arsenal fans are slating Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling on Twitter.
The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Turf Moor this afternoon but arguably the biggest talking point was how the Clarets equalised.
And it was a dreadful error from Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The Swiss international received a ball from goalkeeper Bernd Leno into his own box and inexplicably tried to clip the ball over Chris Wood, where David Luiz was waiting.
But Xhaka, who took a touch after getting the pass from Leno, saw his effort hit Wood and trickle into the back of the net.
Live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday program, Stelling reacted by covering his face in disbelief and claiming: “It did happen…..oh my goodness.”
The veteran presenter later claimed that he had never seen anything like that in a Premier League game before.
And suffice to say that some Arsenal fans are upset with Stelling for what they feel was a gross overreaction to the error:
