Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Nuno Espirito Santo, after Tottenham’s poor form in recent weeks.

What’s the story?

Well, the Crystal Palace fans seem to believe they may have dodged a bullet in Nuno, after he nearly replaced Roy Hodgson over the summer.

According to Sky Sports, talks collapsed between the 47-year-old and the south Londoners at an advanced stage due to the finances involved in the deal.

Eventually, Tottenham hired Nuno on a two-year contract, whereas the Eagles appointed Patrick Vieira on a three-year deal.

Despite winning his first three Premier League games at Spurs, things have gone sour in north London for Nuno, who earns £146,000-a-week.

Nuno has overseen 3-0 defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, as well as a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.

Tottenham’s style of play is also extremely worrying.

As Sky Sports showed during the Arsenal game, Nuno’s side rank 20th in the Premier League for shots taken and chances created from open play.

In contrast, Crystal Palace are extremely entertaining to watch under Vieira.

The likes of Wilfried Zaha, Odsonne Edouard and Conor Gallagher are making the Eagles a dangerous side going forward in this new possession-based system.

Also, with Michael Olise and Ebere Eze yet to start this season, the south Londoners could become an even more flamboyant side.

For now, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about Nuno…
