Alan Rogers has said on Twitter that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should have included midfielder Jordan Henderson in the starting lineup against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool have suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of relegation candidates Bournemouth away from home this afternoon.

Mohamed Salah could not convert a penalty for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

Liverpool hammered bitter rivals Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield in the league last weekend.

Given that Bournemouth have been dire in the Premier League this season and are one of the worst teams in the English top flight, you would have expected Liverpool to pick up all three points with relative ease.

However, it was the Cherries who won the match 1-0.

Philip Billing scored from eight yards out for his sixth Premier League goal of the season after some brilliant work by Dango Ouattara.

That goal came in the 28th minute.

Henderson did not start for Liverpool against Bournemouth.

The £190,000-a-week (SalarySport) English midfielder came on as a substitute in the 65th minute.

Former Nottingham Forest and Leicester City defender Alan Rogers was following the match.

And the pundit believes that Liverpool boss Klopp should have included Henderson in the starting lineup.

Rogers has noted that Liverpool needed the calmness of the Englishman in the middle of the park.
