Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to discuss one moment from the 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League last night.
What’s the story?
Well, one moment flew under the radar during the game last night, although Arsenal fans are now discussing it.
During the first half, Nuno Tavares played a brilliant cross-field pass to Takehiro Tomiyasu on his weaker right foot, who took it down and ran forward.
After finding himself stuck, the Japan international then cut back and played a cross-field pass of his own back to Tavares, using his weaker left foot.
You can see footage of the moment below.
The Arsenal fans loved this, with one supporter tweeting that it was ‘so refreshing’ to have full-backs who are confident using their weaker foot.
Tavares and Tomiyasu open up many doors for Arsenal

Mikel Arteta and Edu deserve huge credit for signing Tavares and Tomiyasu, and for just £8m and £16m respectively.
The £24m duo’s ability to use both feet opens up so many avenues for Arsenal, and also gives Arteta tactical flexibility as well.
For example, in the event that both Kieran Tierney and Tavares are unavailable, Arteta can deploy Tomiyasu there, as he’s confident on his left side.

The same can be said for Tavares, if he’s needed at right-back.
Also, having this ability gives the full-back pairing an element of unpredictability – opponents won’t know which side to close down.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the moment between Tomiyasu and Tavares…
