Conor Coady wasn’t too pleased with Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson’s question about whether the Everton defender is ‘blue or red?’, as they England’s Lions’ Den.
The Everton man, who is on-loan from Wolves this season and currently at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, stated ‘that’s nowhere near good enough’ from Henderson regarding the question from the Liverpool captain.
When Coady started his career, he donned the colours of Liverpool, making one appearance and then heading towards England’s lower leagues to build his career and then make his way back to the Premier League.

That path saw him land on Wolves’ doorstep, where he won promotion, earned his England caps, and spent a few seasons in Europe, before joining Everton this summer.
But this is how Coady reacted to his England teammate asking him if he is ‘red’ or ‘blue’, and it’s fair to say, he wasn’t best pleased.
“Conor, we are all England here,” said Henderson. “But what I really want to know is. Are you blue or red,” asked the Liverpool captain in a fit of laughter?
Coady responded: “It’s so poor from him. We have banter all the time. Of course, I am playing for Everton. He knows deep down.
“So, for him to come out there and ask that question is daft. Of course, I am blue. Of course, I am blue, without a shadow of a doubt.
“For him to say that, you know what I am going to go back there sit down and have a coffee with him. I will give him a bit. That’s nowhere near good enough from the big fella. Blue all day long.”

COADY THRIVING AT EVERTON
Coady won’t be the first person to have donned Everton and Liverpool colours, nor would he be the last to support one or play for the other.
A certain now-popular TV pundit in Jamie Carragher repped the Toffees as a kid, before going on to become a Liverpool legend.
So, whilst Coady will have to do a lot to write his name into Everton’s legendary books, one this is for sure, he has made a solid impact at that club since moving from Wolves.
