Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has just won his first trophy in eight years after helping Inter Milan to a Serie A title.
In doing so, Eriksen has done what he never could in six-and-a-half years at Tottenham and that is, well, win a trophy.
He came close on a number of occasions – particularly in 2019 when Spurs reached the Champions League final – but he never quite got there.
Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport on Friday, Eriksen revealed that this is the ‘best moment’ in his career and here’s how Tottenham fans reacted to the comments:
Eriksen joined Antonio Conte’s side for £20 million in January of 2020.
With only six months left on his contract at the time, it was looked at as a bargain by chairman Daniel Levy – and particularly when the player struggled for about 12 months in Milan.
But for the second half of this season, Eriksen’s been an ever-present figure and even scored one of the goals that helped Inter seal the title last weekend.
