Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their take on results in the promotion race for the Premier League.

Leeds are in action on Sunday, but the rest of the teams who genuinely have a chance of finishing in the top two of the Championship table have already played.

Fulham got the better of Cardiff City 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Friday evening, while Brentford won 3-1 against Derby County away from home at the Pride Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

West Bromwich Albion were also in action on Saturday afternoon, but the Baggies failed to win, as Slaven Bilic’s side played out a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers away from home at Ewood Park.

Leeds will take on Swansea City away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the league on Saturday afternoon.

As things stand, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are at the top of the Championship table with 81 points from 42 matches, level on points with second-placed West Brom.

Brentford in third have picked up 78 points, two more than Fulham, who are currently fourth in the standings.

Some Leeds fans have given their take on results in the Championship on Friday and Saturday.

Below are some of the best comments:

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock has said that he hopes that Leeds and West Brom clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Leeds Live quotes Warnock as saying: “I do hope Leeds and West Brom go up if I’m honest. Leeds have been a fabulous club and they’ve had their breakdowns over the years.”
