Ben Woodburn has become something of a forgotten man at Liverpool, yet the Wales international proved his real quality yesterday with Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

The 22-year-old attacker joined the Edinburgh-based side in the summer on loan. And Woodburn stole the show for Hearts this weekend in their 5-2 win over Dundee United, putting the Jam Tarts second in the division.

Indeed, Robbie Neilson’s side have been excellent to watch. Yet yesterday was one of Hearts’ best performances of the season, and Woodburn was at the centre of this display.

The Liverpool loanee scored twice at Tynecastle Park, with the second of Woodburn’s goals on the afternoon being a contender for Hearts’ goal of the season.

With Woodburn likely to leave Liverpool in 2022, Hearts is proving to be an ideal club for the youngster. After all, the Wales international is flourishing for a side who could well qualify for Europe this season.

And after multiple loan spells in the EFL, Woodburn looks to have found his feet in Scotland with Hearts. And Liverpool fans were yesterday buzzing for the youngster.
