John Hartson has predicted in The Scottish Sun that Celtic defender Kieran Tierney could go as far as he wants.
Tierney is one of the best players in the current Celtic squad and has established himself as a key player for the Bhoys.
The 19-year-old left-back has already earned two caps for the Scotland national football team.
Former Celtic striker Hartson has been impressed with Tierney and has predicted a bright future for him.
“I think this kid could go as far as he wants in the game,” Hartson wrote in The Scottish Sun. “He doesn’t have the guile and scoring ability of Alan Thompson yet, but he’s got so much potential.
“He has a great engine and if he keeps improving he’ll go to the very top. He loves defending and is good on the ball, so I can only see him getting better.”
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 70 points from 24 matches.
The Hoops are 27 points clear of Aberdeen and Rangers, who are currently second and third respectively in the standings.
The Glasgow giants will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Motherwell at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Rodgers’s side will face Hamilton Academical at Celtic Park in their final league fixture of the month.
Celtic are expected to win the title with ease, and there is a chance that they go the entire season without suffering a single defeat in the league.
