Speaking on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been discussing his first impressions of Curtis Jones.

The pair were playing a game together about their time at Liverpool alongside one another, and Alexander-Arnold was asked to describe what he thought of Jones when he came through.

Alexander-Arnold says that Jones was immediately confident and that he was even cheeky when training against the first team.

What’s Alexander-Arnold said about Jones?

The defender gave his view on the youngster.

“I just remember him being cheeky, but not in a bad way. He’s that kind of player where he tries things and he has so much confidence in himself. He just expresses himself and I always respected that to be honest,” Alexander-Arnold said.

Fearless

Jones has been fearless ever since he first broke into the Liverpool team, and it sounds as though he’s exactly the same in training.

Just imagine being a teenager joining up with one of the most talented squads ever assembled alongside some of the biggest names in world football.

For most, that would be a daunting task, but it sounds as though Jones completely backed himself to fit in.

To be fair, the youngster has every right to be cheeky in training. He looks very much at home in this Liverpool side, and in years to come, he may even progress into being one of the Reds’ best players.
