Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk is a ‘clear exponent’ that Dutch football creates, as he told his post-match press conference.
Leeds beat Norwich 2-1 on Sunday afternoon and Bielsa claimed that Struijk is someone who has ‘so many things in one player’.
Struijk started on the left side of a back three for Leeds yesterday and produced a top-quality performance for the Yorkshire club.
His versatility, whether he is in the middle of the park, or playing at the back, is so crucial for this all-action Leeds side.
And Bielsa, in his own unique way, shared what the 22-year-old Belgian is good at and what he likes about his game.
“He’s a clear exponent of the type of centre-back that Dutch football creates,” said Bielsa.
“It’s not difficult for him to play in front of the centre-backs or as a defensive mid.
“He did so very well against Wolves, then when he plays on the left side of a back three, and he has to go out wide, he doesn’t suffer.
“He has a great aerial game and he manages his right foot really well. That’s so many things in just one player, so many good things in just one player.”

For Leeds, at least they know that things aren’t bad as some may have thought because they deserved those three points against Norwich.
It’s now a case of getting away from those teams around them, because whilst Norwich are going down, others will put up a better fight.
That includes someone like Burnley, who won their first game of the campaign against Brentford.
And Newcastle, who if they can’t get things going, then with their Saudi-backed ownership, will throw money at things in January.
