Speaking to Newcastle’s YouTube channel, Amanda Staveley has been speaking about Eddie Howe after he was appointed as the Magpies’ new manager.
Howe was appointed this week after the departure of Steve Bruce, and the former Bournemouth boss has been handed a big task.
Howe will have to oversee a relegation battle between now and the end of the season, but if he does keep Newcastle up, then the sky could be limit for the Magpies under this new ownership.
Staveley is very happy to have gotten her man, and she says she was ‘so impressed’ by Howe’s ability to work with limited resources.
What’s been said?
Staveley gave her view on United’s new manager.
“We had to do a full search of the market and we had to find the perfect fit and Eddie is the perfect fit, we couldn’t have imagined bringing in a better manager. He’s so dynamic, we do analysis on managers in terms of analytics and data and he scored so highly in all mediums,” Staveley said.
“Obviously he’s had an incredible impact with Bournemouth. Someone who has grown a club from League Two to the Premier League, that’s an incredible achievement. We were so impressed by the fact he’d done that with limited resources.”

Imagine what he can do now
Staveley says she was blown away by Howe’s ability to work on a tight budget, so imagine what he can do with PIFs millions behind him?
At Bournemouth, he had to build from nothing, but at St James’ Park he’ll have untold wealth backing him and a strong foundation.
This could be a very exciting new era for Newcastle and Staveley certainly believes Howe is the right man to steer the ship.
