Norwich City fans on Twitter have provided a mixed react to Emi Buendia’s comments amid rumours that Arsenal are keen to sign him.

The Independent claim that Arsenal are interested in the playmaker’s services and have offered Joe Willock or Reiss Nelson in a potential deal.

As rumours go through the roof regarding Arsenal wanting to bring his creativity to the Emirates, he has seemingly sent out a pretty interesting message.

The 24-year-old stated that ‘I belong to Norwich’, as he told the PinkUn, which has resulted in a number of Norwich supporters reacting to his comments.

Some feel that it’s ‘hallow’ words and he could still be on his way out, whilst others are delighted that he could now be seemingly be staying.

Just like players signing contracts, or expressing their loyalty to a club, on many occasions it has meant nothing and those Norwich fans are aware of that.

In truth, the Norwich supporters perhaps wouldn’t mind Buendia leaving in the summer, but they clearly would want him to help them to promotion before or if he does leave.

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Thomas Partey

    45 million

  5. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

Daniel Farke’s men are sitting top of the pile in England’s second-tier, and barring a complete collapse, they should secure a top-six finish and are one of the favourites to secure automatic promotion.

Losing Buendia to Arsenal would put a serious dent in their chances of promotion, so it’s understandable why some at Carrow Road will be feeling a little uneasy, at this moment in time.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Norwich fans reacting to Buendia’s comments:
