John Terry has stated on his Instagram story that he is ‘so happy’ to see Trezeguet return to action for Aston Villa.
The Villa winger played an hour for the Under-23’s on Monday night, as they recorded a 3-3 draw against bitter rivals Birmingham City.
Trezeguet got on the scoresheet for Mark Delaney’s men when he converted from the penalty spot.
Unfortunately, for Villa, they weren’t able to hold onto their 3-1 lead and they had to settle for a point during their Premier League 2 encounter.
Whilst Terry is no longer in Villa colours, he is still keeping an eye out for everything that is going on at the club, as he posted this message on his IG story to Trezeguet.
“So happy to see @MahmoudTrezeguet back on the pitch,” said Terry.

Trezeguet has been out of first-team action for Villa since April, and upon his return, he now has a new manager in the dugout.
It was against Liverpool at Anfield that the Egyptian suffered his knee injury and he could return to the senior side at the very same venue that kept him out of action for so long.
Villa will travel to Merseyside on Saturday to take on Jurgen Klopp’s free-scoring Liverpool side after winning three of their last four matches.
It’s a return to Liverpool for Steven Gerrard, and upon his first visit to his boyhood club since leaving, he will be hoping to cause an upset by securing all three points.
The confidence is there from the Villa players, they are the underdogs and they have opened the scoring on three of the last four occasions they have faced the Reds.
Not only that, the in-form Ollie Watkins, who scored four goals against Liverpool last season, will be hoping to make his mark once again.
