Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Daily Mail‘s Craig Hope shared some news about Eddie Howe.

What’s the story?

Well, there was plenty of attention on Howe yesterday at Little Benton, as he oversaw his first training session in charge of the Magpies.

The 43-year-old could be heard telling his players to stop standing still, as he looks to cut off the shackles placed on them by Steve Bruce.

It looked to be a very positive, attack minded session, although something Howe did after training has delighted the Toon Army.

As Hope reveals, Howe went to watch the Newcastle Under-11 side train after his session with the first-team ended.

How special must that have made those promising youngsters feel?

We’re sure they won’t forget yesterday in a hurry.

Clearly, Howe is approaching this job with no stone left unturned.

Watching the Under-11 side train is only a small thing, but it shows Howe is taking an interest in the Magpies at all levels, and it’s great to see.

After all, a football club is, well, a club, a team, a family, and success can come from building that bond.

If someone like Howe is making Newcastle a fun environment for training ground staff, academy prospects and others, it will create a healthy atmosphere around St James’ Park.

Mike Ashley’s reign was a coldhearted mess, in which even the likes of Jonas Gutierrez were treated horrendously.

Howe seems to be adopting a warmer approach, and it’s certainly gone down well with the supporters.

Let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about Howe watching the Under-11 side…
