Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are drooling over Gabriel Martinelli for his performance against Fulham in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

The 19-year-old made only his fifth Premier League start of the season for Arsenal and was easily the Gunners’ most electric player.

Mikel Arteta started Martinelli out wide but moved the Brazilian sensation centrally following an injury to Alexandre Lacazette.

And the teenager, a £6 million signing under Unai Emery in 2019, really came to life then and almost helped Arsenal equalise within minutes but Nicolas Pepe, with only the goalkeeper to beat, failed to convert Martinelli’s brilliant cross after taking it around the visitors’ goalkeeper.

Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium side reacted to the South American star’s display:

Josh Maja’s second-half penalty looked enough to give the Cottagers a huge three points in their fight against relegation.

But Eddie Nketiah, a substitute, poked home from close range in the dying minutes to snatch a point for Arsenal, who had two first-half goals chalked off for offside.

The draw papers over the cracks for Arsenal who quite honestly weren’t good enough.
