Neil Lennon stated that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was ‘so dynamic’ during Liverpool’s 2-1 win against AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night, as he told BBC Sport.

It was another start for Oxlade-Chamberlian in the middle of the park for Liverpool and ex-Celtic man Lennon was impressed by what he was seeing from the midfielder.

This season has been pretty positive for Oxlade-Chamberlain so far because of the consistent run of games he has been able to go through.

Staying away from the treatment room has played a part in that and allowed him to showcase his real talent out on that pitch.

It was Oxlade-Chamberlain’s dancing feet and long-distance shot that allowed Salah to pounce on the re-bound and hit the ball first-time into the roof of the net to equalise.

And Lennon liked what he saw from the Englishman at the San Siro yesterday, as the Reds secured, in the end, a comfortable three points.

“I’d love to see Oxlade-Chamberlain keep fit for a while and get a run in the team,” said Lennon.

“He’s been so dynamic tonight.”

Liverpool became the first English side to win every single one of their group games last night and it’s fitting that they were the ones to do it given their European history.

What was even more impressive is that Jurgen Klopp made a number of changes for the showdown out in Italy.

Whilst the Reds had already qualified, that wasn’t the case for AC Milan, who needed the points to reach the knockout stages.

In the end, the Italian side were knocked out of the competition and a number of Liverpool young guns can hold their heads high in regards to how they performed at such an iconic venue.
