Jamie Carragher has stated that Mo Salah is proving ‘so difficult to stop’ after he helped Liverpool see off AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (07/12/21 at 8:50 pm).
The TV pundit stated that Salah is ‘playing as well as anybody’ as Liverpool came from behind to win 2-1 and secure a record-breaking six wins out of six in the group stages.
No English side has ever won six out of six before, until the Reds popped up at the San Siro last night, levelled the scoring through Salah, before the man of the moment so far, Divock Origi, scored yet another winning goal.
That’s also 11 goals in the same number of European ties for Salah, who is seemingly scoring in near-on every game he takes part in this season.
Carragher was once again left speechless by the player and what he is producing out on that pitch.
“That man Mo Salah,” said Carragher. “He is playing as well as anybody in world football right now. That’s his 20th goal this season.
“Oxlade-Chamberlain had a few efforts from outside of the box. He has a really good strike on him. But a great finish on that left foot (from Salah).
“He is always alive on that rebound. Really sharp. So difficult to stop. Every time he gets a chance now, you feel like he’s going to score.
“That’s 11 goals in his last 11 European games, which is a phenomenal record.”

Many would have probably been left surprised when Salah was named in the starting XI yesterday given the nature of the match.
For AC Milan, they needed the points to try and qualify for the knockout stages, which they didn’t, whilst this was a dead-rubber for the Premier League side.
But both Salah and Sadio Mane were on the teamsheet, despite a pretty tricky Premier League clash against Aston Villa awaiting them on Saturday and a very busy festive period.
A certain Steven Gerrard will return to Anfield on Saturday, for the first time since leaving and his Villa side have won three out of their four games under his stewardship.
