Some Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that Harry Kane might have bid farewell to the club on Wednesday night.
Spurs lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in their last home game of the Premier League season last night.
Kane led a four-player lap of appreciation around the club’s £1 billion stadium at full time.
This came in the the same week as Sky Sports reported that the 27-year-old had told Spurs’ hierarchy he was ready to leave the club.
And it doesn’t take a genius to interpret that his body language after the full-time whistle against the Villans indicates that the reports may have a lot of substance.
Kane certainly does look like a player who wants to leave North London, where he has spent his entire career.
And here’s how some fans reacted to a photo of him after the game last night:
Whether it’s goals or assists, Kane has contributed to 48 goals in all competitions this season – and he has played 48 games.
That right there indicates that he’s a colossal player for Tottenham and he’s been at this standard for pretty much the last six or seven years.
If he does go, and that does seem his intention, Lilywhites fans will be devastated but, by the same token, you have to be realistic and the truth is, the team are seventh in the Premier League table and he’s probably too good for them right now.
