Speaking on the ITV Football Show Podcast, Andros Townsend has been discussing the Denmark team and reported Everton target Kasper Dolberg.
The striker had a brilliant Euro 2020 before being knocked out by England. He netted three goals for his country and caught the eye of many with his showings.
Townsend was certainly impressed by what he’s seen.
What’s been said?
Townesend was discussing the Danish team and Dolberg.
“Of course, nobody when Christian Eriksen went down, nobody thought they would even continue in the competition, we thought the competition was over. Thankfully Christian recovered and gave them the all-clear to continue, and since then you saw a side that played for their mate, tried to use the motion, they’ve been surfing the emotional wave. They were brilliant, talk about Dolberg who is so clinical, Damsgaard who is such a good young talent,” Townsend said.

Perfect for Everton
Dolberg could be a dream signing for Everton this summer.
Think about it, if Richarlison moves to Real Madrid, the Toffees will need a new attacker who is clinical and can play off of the left, and Dolberg fits the bill.
Much like Richarlison, Dolberg is a centre-forward by trade, but as we saw at Euro 2020, especially against Wales, he’s equally as effective when cutting in from the left flank.
Perhaps this is the type of player Rafa Benitez needs if he is to lose the Brazilian star this summer.
The Toffees have certainly been linked, and if they have any sense, they’ll formalise their interest this summer.
