When Norwich were first relegated, many felt that Buendia’s talents were too good to grace England’s second-tier once more – and they were right!
It’s pretty understandable why a club like Arsenal would be keen to bring his talents to North London because he has put many a player in the Championship on their backsides this season.
From Buendia’s 37 Championship matches – and he’s still going – he has scored 14 goals and supplied 17 assists for his teammates.
And with Arsenal interested in the attacking maverick before Norwich’s promotion was confirmed, it wouldn’t be a surprise if his £40 million price tag only increases, as reported by the Sun.
With the ability to play as a ten or on the right flank, Buendia is a player that Arsenal have needed from the get-go of this now unforgettable Premier League campaign.
And whilst the Argentinan is up against some serious talent for the Championship’s best player this season, he will be favourite to beat his fellow teammate, Temmu Pukki, and Brentford’s 29-goal hitman, Ivan Toney.
Either way, Buendia is returning to England’s elite in style and Arsenal fans will be hoping their under-pressure owners have the ambition to bring in talents such as his this summer.
