What a brilliant signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has proven himself for Tottenham Hotspur.

Since joining Spurs from Southampton last summer, the Denmark international has started each and every single one of the club’s 29 Premier League games this season.

Hojbjerg has established himself as a real midfield general for Jose Mourinho.

And better yet, the 25-year-old cost a mere £15 million which, in this market, has to be considered a bargain when you consider how important he is.

The powerful Dane missed the Europa League second leg with Dinamo Zagreb last week, with Mourinho’s side losing 3-0 on the night and ultimately exiting the competition.

He is similarly influential for his county and helped Denmark to a 2-0 win away to Israel in World Cup qualifying last night.

After the game, it was announced that Hojbjerg had won his country’s Player of the Year award and here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to the announcement on Twitter:
