Darren Bent has said on Sky Sports News (1:38pm, September 4, 2022) that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka needs to start scoring goals.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that Saka, who can operate as a midfielder, left-back or left-winger, is doing everything right for Arsenal at the moment except score goals.
The Arsenal-supporting Sky Sports and talkSPORT pundit has noted that when he is front of goal, Saka gets overexcited and cannot finish his chances.
Saka has given two assists in five Premier League appearances for the Gunners so far this season.
The England international scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in the league last season.
Darren Bent on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka
Bent said: “Saka, not scoring in 10 games, he needs a goal. Everything else in his game, it’s fantastic.
“He is getting assists, he is going past people, he is creating opportunities, it’s just in front of goal he is getting overexcited, snatching at things a little bit. He is a top, top player.”

Let’s stay patient
In our opinion, Arsenal fans should not get agitated over Bukayo Saka’s lack of goals in recent games.
Yes, the 20-year-old is going through a spell where nothing is working for him in front of goal, but he will eventually score.
We think that Saka should not be put under pressure to score.
After all, Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus is scoring goals for fun.
Now, of course, it would be great for all attacking players to find the back of the net, but let’s not expect too much from a 20-year-old who is still developing and adding facets to his game.
