Aston Villa fans on Twitter want to see Milot Rashica brought in at Villa Park after Werder Bremen’s president hinted that he could leave in January.

Birmingham Mail ran a story about Rashica potentially being available in January, and fans were keen to see him arrive in the winter window.

Villa had a highly-publicised failed pursuit of the Kosovo international this summer, but with his situation at Werder Bremen changing, this may be one that Villa could revisit.

Rashica would certainly be a great addition to Dean Smith’s side, he netted eight goals last season in the Bundesliga, but for one reason or another, he’s only started once in the league so far this term.

The Midlands outfit have exceeded all expectations so far this term as they sit sixth in the table with a game in hand on all the teams above them, and signing Rashica could give them that one final boost they need to sustain a push for a European place.

Villa already signed a winger in place of Rashica this summer with Bertrand Traore arriving from Lyon, but Rashica is certainly a player they are a fan of, so it’s not out of the question that they’ll go back in for him.

Supporters are clearly on board with the idea of bringing him in, even if he’s just a depth option as some seem to believe that the club don’t have enough wide options going forward.
