Aston Villa boss has told BBC Sport that he was seriously impressed by the work-rate of Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley, Trezeguet and Ollie Watkins yesterday.
Villa ran out 3-0 winners over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last night, as they absolutely demolished Mikel Arteta’s men.
Villa looked by far the better side throughout the contest.
And Smith felt that the work-rate of his attacking players was one of the key reasons why Villa were so successful.
“Coming here is tough, we knew we had to be at our best without the ball,” he said.
“That’s what pleased me the most and we could’ve scored more. We created some great chances from our ball carrying skills with Jack Grealish and Ross Barkley and Trezequet and Ollie Watkins’ non-stop running.”
Watkins was rewarded for his efforts with a brace, as the powerful striker continues to impress at Villa.

Grealish also really caught the eye again, with his performances seemingly going to another level this season.
Villa had gone into the game on the back of two defeats, but any concerns forming around their season have quickly been extinguished.
The claret and blues have moved up to sixth in the Premier League table now, which represents an excellent start to the new season for them.
