Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they could make a late move for Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.
What’s the story with Luiz?
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Gunners are going to firm up their interest in Luiz in the coming days, while TeamTalk report that a bid is imminent.
The midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, with Roma reportedly very keen on the Brazilian, but now, it sounds as though the north London club want the Aston Villa ace.
Arsenal certainly need a midfielder through the door before the end of the window, but some fans aren’t best pleased with the idea of bringing Luiz in.
Problem
Much like the last D. Luiz Arsenal had, the Aston Villa man can be something of a liability.
He’s technically brilliant and he’s a strong player, but he has had some discipline issues in the past regarding yellow and red cards.
The last thing Arsenal need is another midfielder who’s always at risk of being sent off. After all, they already have Granit Xhaka filling that role.
Arsenal supporters aren’t too impressed with the idea of signing Luiz.
