Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joe Hart has responded to Jack Butland’s post on Instagram following the latter’s move from Stoke City to Crystal Palace.

As reported by BBC Sport, Premier League club Palace signed goalkeeper Butland from Championship side Stoke on transfer deadline day for £1 million.

The 27-year-old was linked with Liverpool, with The Mirror reporting earlier this month that the defending Premier League champions were in talks with the Potters.

However, it is Palace who have signed the former Birmingham City star, who has earned nine caps for England.

Hart, who joined Tottenham on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, has wished Butland the best of luck at Palace.

Hart responded: “Congrats @jbutland_ go and smash it mate.”

Butland has not been at his best for a while, and during his time in the Championship with Stoke, the goalkeeper did make mistakes.

However, the Englishman is only 27 years of age, and perhaps at Palace he will get back to his best.

Like Butland, Hart has not been at his best for a while now and struggled for playing time when he was at Burnley.

The former Manchester City star is playing second fiddle to Hugo Lloris at Spurs at the moment, but the 33-year-old could get his chance if the Frenchman has an injury or suffers a dip in form.
