West Bromwich Albion have offered midfielder, Darren Fletcher, a new two-year contract, according to reports from The Telegraph.
The Baggies have offered the deal ahead of Fletcher’s return to former club, Manchester United, on Saturday.
Fletcher, 33, has only two months left on his contract and will become a free agent in the summer. However, West Brom are keen to retain his services and have moved to keep him at the club by offering him a new deal.
The former Manchester United midfielder, who has won four Premier League titles with the Red Devils, has received offers from clubs in the Premier League, Spain and the MLS. It remains to be seen whether he extends his stay at the Hawthorns for another two seasons.
At one point of time, Fletcher’s future came under question when he required surgery for the bowel condition ulcerative colitis during his time at Old Trafford.
After recovering from the chronic bowel disease Fletcher has started every Premier League match since joining the Baggies in February 2015.
He has been an ever-present for Pulis’s side this season, and will make his 83rd consecutive Premier League start against former club at Old Trafford.
Fletcher has played a key role in West Brom’s resurgence, and as long as he is playing at a high level it shouldn’t be a concern for the manager and the fans.
