International record: 125 Caps, 56 Goals
2015/16: Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world, and he had yet another successful season at club level.
Ronaldo scored 35 goals and created 50 chances in 36 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid this past season.
The former Manchester United star found the net 16 times and created 22 chances in 11 Champions League matches.
Madrid narrowly failed to win La Liga, but they reached the final of the Champions League.
Ronaldo was a key player for Los Blancos in both competitions, and the forward will head into the Euro 2016 finals in France in the summer in good form.

What can we expect? Ronaldo has not always had great success when playing for Portugal in major international competitions.
It is very unlikely that Portugal will win the European Championship in France. There are some good players in Fernando Santos’s squad, such as Bruno Alves, Pepe and William Carvalho, but overall the current team is not equipped to win a major international competition.
Ronaldo will have to be the leader for Portugal in France, but one should not be surprised if he cannot guide them past the quarter-finals.
