Arsenal fans are demanding a lot of money from Manchester City for the signing of Alexis Sanchez.
On Friday, England international Kyle Walker became the most expensive defender on the planet when Manchester City agreed on a fee of £50 million for the right-back (as reported by ESPN), beating the £47.5 million they paid Everton for the services of John Stones last season.
On the face of things at least, it seems to be an astronomical fee even though the English transfer market has been inflated in the past couple of seasons due to the extra revenue available to the clubs from TV money.

Putting things into perspective, AC Milan signed Leonardo Bonucci, regarded by many as the best defender in the world for £15 million less (as reported by Goal) just a few hours before the respective clubs confirmed the Walker deal.
There is no doubt the fact that Manchester City were desperate for full-backs after they released Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna at the end of last season. Dani Alves did his bit as well, before promptly signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
That left Pep Guardiola’s hands tied with Walker the only viable option, and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy squeezed as much money as he could from the Citizens.
Manchester City are rumoured to be interested in Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez as well, and Walker’s move left the fee for Sanchez up for speculation. A gentle reminder that the Chilean has just one more year left on his current Arsenal contract.
