Sessegnon has enjoyed an impressivee breakthrough season at Craven Cottage and has quickly established himself as a key figure in Fulham’s first team. The 16-year-old can operate as a both a left-back and left midfielder, and despite the former being his preferred position, he has looked just as comfortable in a more advanced role.

As Fulham prepare for the first leg of their play-off semi final with Reading on Saturday, the immediate future of one of England’s brightest prospects has been a topic of discussion.

Jokanovic believes that Sessegnon should stay with Fulham for the time being but is well aware that interest from Premier League clubs will be hard to ignore. Liverpool are rumoured to be leading the chase (Sky Sports).

“If we get promoted, it’s the best way to keep him,” he told Sky Sports. “I’ve talked many times about him and personally I believe he is in the right place, he doesn’t need to change in this moment.

“It will depend on different sides. For myself, I think we will fight to be working with him next season.

“Ryan Sessegnon is fully committed with us and is working hard.”

“He works very well and is only 16 but his mind is like an experienced player. He has a bright future.”
