Slavia Prague have insisted that they helped to inspire West Ham United’s comeback against Tottenham Hotspur.
West Ham managed to score three goals in the last 10 minutes to claim a point against Spurs yesterday.
West Ham looked dead and buried when they conceded three goals in the first 15 minutes, but they refused to lay down, and pulled off one of the best comebacks in recent Premier League history.
But Slavia Prague say that they deserve some of the credit for the turnaround.
West Ham have signed both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from the Czech side recently.
And Slavia claim that their fighting spirit was learnt during their time with them.
West Ham may want to do more business with Slavia soon, as the signs are that Soucek and Coufal are going to be excellent additions.
Soucek has already proven his quality in midfield, with his power and aerial ability making him a key part of David Moyes’s plans.
Coufal, meanwhile, already looks to be West Ham’s first choice at right-back, and his first displays have been highly encouraging.
