West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has given an injury update on Winston Reid and James Collins on the club’s official website.

Reid, who is 28 years of age and plays as a defender, has been struggling with a hamstring strain, as reported by BBC Sport.

Collins, who is 33 years of age and also plays as a defender, has a calf problem, as reported by Sky Sports.

“Reid didn’t go to play for New Zealand because in the Everton game he got a small injury,” Bilic told West Ham’s official website when asked about Reid and Collins.

“He was suspended for the game against Stoke so he missed that anyway, but he’s back in training and he looks good. It wasn’t a long break for him. Ginge – he didn’t play for Wales but it was minor as well, and he’s back in training.”

West Ham will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home in the Premier League.

The Hammers are not favourites to win at White Hart Lane, but Bilic’s team do have the quality to stage a surprise in the London derby.

Bilic’s side will head into the match against Spurs on the back of a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the London Stadium in the league.

West Ham are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from as many matches.

The London outfit are just a point above the relegation zone and are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
