Slaven Bilic confirmed on ITV, during their coverage of the World Cup on 15th June, that West Ham United target Mateo Kovacic does have offers.

Kovacic and Bilic have a strong relationship, and it appears that the Hammers now want to bring the Real Madrid man to the London Stadium.

TMW have suggested that West Ham are eager for Kovacic to be brought this summer.

And, when discussing Kovacic’s future, BIlic revealed that the midfielder did have offers but he is struggling to come to terms with the idea of leaving Madrid.

“We [Croatia] have Kovačić who is on Madrid’s bench. He wants to play every game but it’s not easy to leave Real Madrid. He’s had offers, but nobody wants to leave Madrid,” Bilic said of the midfielder, who is valued at £44 million according to Football.London.

If Kovacic does sign for West Ham, they may be relying on Bilic to put in a good word for them.

Kovacic would be an extremely eye-catching addition for the Hammers, if they were able to get a deal over the line.

The 24-year-old is regarded as an outstanding talent, although he has been starved of regular football in recent times.

Madrid have only used him in a rotational role, as he has generally had to play cover to their star-studded midfielders.

If Kovacic was brought to West Ham he would surely step straight into Manuel Pellegrini’s first-team, and they would offer him the game-time that he supposedly craves.
