The Croatian has been linked with a West Ham exit this week.

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic is being continuously linked with an exit from the London Stadium. The club have had an indifferent season after the highs of last term and it has been speculated that the club may be ready to let him go at the end of the season.

Now, a former associate of Bilic’s, has spoken about his future. Aljosa Asanovic, a former Derby County midfielder, worked with Bilic at Croatia and with the Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.

He has been quoted by Turkish source Fotospor as suggesting Bilic will be on his way this summer, to be replaced by Reading head coach Jaap Stam.

If he does so, he will have a destination in Turkey:

“If the manager leaves England, he will return to Turkey, and he will challenge both his former team (Besiktas) and (Igor) Tudor (Galatasaray coach).”

His former assistant is suggesting that Bilic might take over from Dick Advocaat at Fenerbahce, with the Dutchman likely to leave at the end of the season.

Bilic obviously has plenty of experience in the Turkish Super Lig. He previously managed at Besiktas before making a move to West Ham in 2015.

Such a move would be controversial but there is no doubt that Bilic would have plenty of offers if West Ham did decide to let him go this summer.
