West Ham United drew 1-1 with Watford in their most recent outing.
Slaven Bilic has told West Ham United’s official website that he was positive in the dressing room, following his side’s draw with Watford yesterday.
West Ham came from behind to claim a point against the Hornets, with Andre Ayew netting an equaliser.
And Bilic admits that he was unhappy with his team’s first half display, but felt they more than justified their point in the end.
“Considering the way we played I think we deserved more than a point from the way that we played through the whole game,” Bilic said.
“I told the guys at the end that okay it was a good point and a great performance in the second half but we cannot start like that, especially away and it is hard to turn the game around.”
Watford had taken the lead very early on in the match, when Troy Deeney hit the back of the net from the penalty spot.
The Hammers took a while to settle into the match, but once they did they were the dominant force.
West Ham went close on numerous occasions, before Ayew eventually bagged an equaliser.
Bilic’s men are now in ninth place in the Premier League table, and they have recovered from a poor start.
West Ham are next in action against Chelsea in two Mondays’ time.
