West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has told Football.London that Michail Antonio ‘should be good’ to face Swansea City this weekend.

The Hammers lost for the fifth Premier League game in a row on Wednesday evening, as they were beaten 3-0 away at Arsenal in another crushing defeat.

West Ham’s latest loss came after defeats to Chelsea, Bournemouth, Leicester City and Hull City, with just two points picked up in the last seven outings, and the pressure is mounting on manager Bilic again.

Bilic’s men now lie just five points clear of the relegation zone, and with the club in freefall, fans are understandably concerned about a surprise battle against the drop.

This weekend is arguably West Ham’s biggest game of the season, as they play host to Swansea City at the London Stadium, with the winner giving their chances of survival a huge boost.

West Ham need a strong result against Swansea, especially given that they have picked up just one point in the last four games themselves, and the Hammers will hope to have Michail Antonio available.

The winger, who has notched nine goals this season, was only able to play 45 minutes against Arsenal before being replaced by Robert Snodgrass at half time, and Bilic has told Football.London that the 27-year-old was ill, and should be fine to face Swansea.

Bilic added that West Ham’s biggest problem right now is defending set pieces, having conceded three goals from dead balls against Leicester and Hull, with the Croatian calling on his players to stop making individual mistakes from set pieces.

“Mikey’s injury was nothing to do with his hamstring, he felt sick after lunch at the hotel yesterday,” said Bilic. “He’s feeling much better this morning. If it progresses like then he also should be good for Saturday.”

“What’s wrong? It’s definitely set pieces. Those set pieces – like against Leicester and Hull – it affects our performance. So, we can say there are individual mistakes which there have been but to be fair, we are making too many of them,” he added.
