West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told the club’s official website that he is expecting a host of players to return from injury in the coming weeks.
The Hammers have endured a miserable start to the campaign with five defeats in the first six games, and have leaked 11 goals in their last three Premier League fixtures.

Many excuses have been suggested; from the move to the London Stadium to having to start the season early due to the Europa League qualifying rounds, and more notably, the club’s growing injury list.
Left back Aaron Cresswell, winger Andre Ayew as well as strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are all out injured right now – but there are hopes that all four could be back soon.

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s game with Middlesbrough, Bilic has told the club’s official website that a number of players are expected back from injury soon, but not in time to face Middlesbrough.
Bilic is expecting Cresswell and Carroll to be back immediately after the international break, when they will take on Crystal Palace away from home.
West Ham’s Andy Carroll
The Croatian added that Ayew is ahead of schedule but is still a few weeks away, and striker Sakho is set to return some time between Carroll and Ayew – and he believes West Ham are set for a huge boost.
“Some of them, they should be back,” said Bilic. “Not for the Middlesbrough game, but definitely after the international we are expecting Cresswell and Carroll hopefully to be back. And, ahead of schedule, we are also expecting Andre back. Sakho is hopefully going to be back between then. In a few weeks time, some of them will be back, so of course it’s a big boost for us,” he added.
