The West Ham striker started his first game in four months this week.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told the club’s official website that Andy Carroll’s positivity has a positive effect upon himself.
This season has once again been ruined for the striker, who has missed the beginning of the campaign with a knee injury.
He returned to the starting XI for the first time in four months in midweek though when he started against Burnley.

It proved to be a happy return to the team for him as he played his part in a morale-boosting 1-0 win for the Hammers.
After such an extended layoff it would be surprising to see the striker start again this week but Bilic says his positivity means that could end up happening. He told the club’s official website:
“I said after the [Burnley] game he was supposed to play 30 minutes and not to start but I spoke to him and he had done enough training and came on a couple of times against Arsenal and Liverpool.”
“Then the plan was for him to play for 60 minutes on Wednesday, but then I asked him at half-time and he was really good and went on until 80 minutes. He is very positive and that makes my very positive.”

The Hammers will now be praying that Carroll can remain fit for the remainder of the season.
Their strikers have struggled so far this season, with none getting past one goal so far.
That has had a drastic effect on their league form as Bilic’s men find themselves in 15th place in the table and just four points outside of the relegation zone.
If they can get Carroll to stay fit and back among the goals, he will be a key asset in helping them to pull away from that situation in the second half of the season.
