West Ham United attempted to sign Carlos Bacca last summer, but could not get a deal done.
Slaven Bilic has admitted to the Daily Mirror that it is a possibility that West Ham United could make another bid for Carlos Bacca.
West Ham pushed hard to try and sign Bacca last summer, but their efforts proved fruitless – as the Colombian international did not want to move.
Bacca, instead, stayed with AC Milan – but the forward is now reportedly unhappy at the San Siro.
Bacca has not featured regularly for the Serie A side this season, with many of his appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.
West Ham are now contemplating making another move for the powerful attacker when the transfer window reopens, in the hope that Bacca will be more open to a move to the London Stadium.
“Maybe. We tried. He was one of our targets in the summer. It was in the papers and it was true,” Bilic said, when asked whether his West Ham team could return for Bacca.
“But then the deal didn’t go through because of a few things and he decided to stay at Milan. He is still there. He doesn’t play a lot which is also an issue.”
West Ham are desperate to add a new striker to their ranks in the January transfer window, as they have struggled going forward this term.
The Hammers have not managed to find a potent scorer in their squad, with Bilic now prioritising bringing in a new forward at the next opportunity.
