Slaven Bilic expects West Ham striker Javier Hernandez to play against Brighton.
West Ham will take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League clash on Friday at the London Stadium.
The Hammers secured a point away at Burnley last week, and Bilic will be looking to get back to winning ways on Friday night.
West Ham have won two of their three matches played at home so far, and Bilic said that he is glad that the home form has improved.
The Croatian has revealed that striker Diafra Sakho will not be featuring against Brighton with a back problem. Also, defender James Collins is out for the game.
Sakho’s absence is a blow considering the Hammers are short of striker options with Andy Carroll suspended for this game after he was sent off against Burnley.
However, Bilic has confirmed that Mexican striker Javier Hernandez is fit to play despite a hamstring injury scare.
The West Ham boss said that Chicharito trained a couple of days ago and will train with the squad on Thursday afternoon as well.
Bilic added that Hernandez felt a tight hamstring, but the scan report was completely clear.
“Chicharito has a tight hamstring, he will train again this afternoon at 4pm. It’s not a big thing, he trained a couple of days ago,” said Bilic, as quoted by Football London.
“The scan was completely clear. He missed yesterdays light session and we expect that he will be OK.”
