West Ham United striker Andy Carroll was sent off in his side’s last match.

Carroll faced fierce criticism from supporters and teammates, after he was red carded during West Ham’s last match against Burnley.
Carroll launched into two aerial duels at Turf Moor in quick succession, and picked up two yellow cards.

It was an act of stupidity, which has been condemned by many around West Ham, after Bilic’s side were only able to pick up a draw against the Clarets.
West Ham had been leading at the point when Carroll was sent off, and they held on to their advantage well, despite their numerical disadvantage.
However, Burnley eventually made their greater numbers pay – as they scored a later leveller through Chris Wood.
Carroll is now under pressure to prove his worth again at West Ham, and Bilic believes that target-man is training like a player with a point to prove.

He said: “The important thing for me was to see the right response from Andy in training this week, and that has definitely been the case.
“I have no doubt that he will bounce back in the right way and continue to be an important player for us as we approach a busy period.”
Carroll’s suspension has left West Ham’s attacking options looking limited, ahead of their match against Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.
Diafra Sakho is also out injured, which means it is likely that Javier Hernandez will lead the line for the Hammers.
