West Ham United continue to underperform, and are now in a genuine relegation battle.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and highlighted how the demanding nature of being a Premier League manager can really take its’ toll, with regards to the pressure that comes along with it, as quoted by the Daily Star.
West Ham are in the midst of a dreadful run of form that has seen them take only two points from their last seven outings in the league, leaving them languishing in 15th position in the table, just five points clear of tomorrow’s opponents Swansea City in 18th.
And failure to beat Paul Clement’s men at the London Stadium would see the pressure on Bilic and his players intensify even further still.
The Croatian spoke to reporters about how he and his team must harness that pressure, and rise to the challenge tomorrow, whilst highlighting how the demands of the job have affected his private life, as quoted by the Daily Star:

“It’s a very demanding job, but you know that when you sign the contract. It always affects your private life. The pressure is big but I have strong belief in my team. I know we can do it and we have to put everything we have on the line. We have the determination, character and quality to stop this run or results immediately.”
Bilic is loved by the majority of West Ham fans, but no matter how good his relationship is with the Hammers faithful, it is hard to ignore the fact that his tactical nouse has been questionable this season to say the least.
He must find a way of grinding out a victory, with his players sticking to some kind of disciplined shape, rather than playing where they want to.
Saturday’s game is a massive one for the club, and more specifically, for the future of Slaven Bilic as West Ham United manager.
