West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has been out injured since August.
Speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s EFL Cup quarter-final against Manchester United tomorrow night, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic provided a positive update on the expected return of West Ham’s perennial crock Andy Carroll, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 27-year-old has not played for West Ham since August, after he suffered a knee injury, and the Hammers have desperately missed his aerial presence during his extended absence.

During his pre-match press conference, Bilic offered an update on Carroll, and for once, it was a rather positive one, explaining how the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker is recovering well, as quoted by whufc.com:
“We are going to see what happens today. Andy has a good recovery and has been training with us. If he progresses well and there are not any minor setbacks, he will definitely be ready for Saturday and we will make a decision about the United game after training. We will assess him after training to see how he is. With Andy we take it on a daily basis.”

Carroll has been much maligned for his failure to stay fit for an extended period of time during his move to the club in 2012, and has only managed 60 Premier League starts for the Hammers throughout that time.
There is no doubting, however, that he offers the team an entirely different option when he is fit, and West Ham fans will be praying that he is ready for their home game against Arsenal on Saturday, after he caused the Gunners all sorts of problems last season, scoring a hat-trick during their 3-3 draw at Upton Park.
