Could West Ham United close the gap on Everton and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League?

West Ham United are doing well in the Premier League at the moment. The Hammers are currently 10th in the standings with 32 points from 25 matches.

The London outfit should be able to end up in the top 10 of the league table this season and should probably be aiming for the eighth or the seventh place.

There is still a long way to go this campaign, and the West Ham fans will hope that the team push on.

Slaven Bilic, though, is not getting carried away. The West Ham manager has stated that the team are not yet safe from relegation.

Bilic, though, has also suggested that the Hammers can catch Everton and West Bromwich Albion. The Toffees and the Baggies are seventh and eighth respectively in the standings at the moment.

“So what is left for us this season?” Billie wrote in The London Evening Standard. “First of all, we are not safe. Yes, we are in mid-table with 32 points, two more than Watford but we still have ambitions for the remainder of this season.”

“Of course, when you are down near the bottom, you have that extra survival motivation because they are fighting for their lives but still, it is my job and that of my staff, to keep our players fully motivated, right to the end,” added Bilic.

“I repeat, though, we are not safe if it that is a fact, then West Brom, who have five points more than us and even Everton — who are nine points ahead — are not safe from us.”

West Ham will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.

The London outfit will head into the game with confidence and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
