West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has hailed youngster Ashley Fletcher to the club’s official website, saying that he is sure the club will benefit from him in future.
The youngster made the move to the London Stadium this summer after his deal with Manchester United expired.
His signing was very much made with an eye to the future as the Hammers look to continue their strong history of developing young players.
He has however found himself handed a first-team place in the early parts of this season as a series of injuries have robbed Bilic of forwards.

Thursday evening saw him put in an impressive display as a substitute in the loss to Astra Giurgiu, and Bilic has praised him, saying he believes the club will benefit from him in future.
“We had a few chats, me and him, during pre-season and he’s a very bright lad,” he told the club’s official website.
“He believes in himself, he is ready to work, willing to learn and train and sacrifice and I am sure we’re going to benefit from him in the future. He’s really good and I like him.”

West Ham fans will certainly be keeping a close eye on Fletcher’s progress over the coming years after this bright start to life at the club.
While he has found himself in the first team recently, it would not be surprising to find the club opt to loan him out before the end of the transfer window.
With Simone Zaza set to join from Juventus and a move for Wilfried Bony also touted, Fletcher will find himself down the pecking order and a temporary move away would represent a wise choice to continue his development.
