Tottenham’s Eriksen scored for Denmark against Australia on Thursday.
Former West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told ITV’s coverage of Denmark’s World Cup clash against Australia that “all the big clubs are after” Christian Eriksen – before praising the Tottenham Hotspur star.
The 26-year-old was in emphatic form for Spurs last season, scoring 14 goals and turning provider another 13 times as Spurs finished in third in the Premier League table.

The former Ajax star has seemingly taken his excellent form into the World Cup, providing the assist for Youssef Poulsen’s goal against Peru in Denmark’s opener – as the Danes won 1-0. He then scored in Thursday’s 1-1 draw against Australia.
Bilic, who faced Eriksen multiple times when in charge of West Ham, was full of praise of Eriksen before Thursday’s draw, claiming he is impossible to mark and that he is on the shortlists of the world’s biggest footballing institutions.
“He’s not a player who’s going to beat six players, all he needs one touch. You cannot man mark him, I played against him at West Ham with Tottenham – and he was excellent,” Bilic said.
“All the big clubs are after him, the only reason he is not a huge, huge name, is because he is a very humble guy.”
Eriksen has been a target for Barcelona for quite some time if reports are to be believed, with The Sun reporting Spanish newspaper AS’ claim that Eriksen would be Barca’s next target if they failed to sign Antoine Griezmann.
Since then, Griezmann has declared his loyalty to Atletico Madrid, and that could see Barca go in for Eriksen. The left-footed playmaker only has two more years left on his Spurs contract.
