Aaron Cresswell is yet to make an appearance for West Ham United this season.
Slaven Bilic has confirmed to West Ham United’s official website that Aaron Cresswell will be back to face Crystal Palace.
Cresswell has not played for West Ham at all this season, after he picked up an injury while preparing for the new campaign.
The left-back’s absence has been a major blow for the Hammers, but Cresswell has trained successfully over the past fortnight.
And Bilic is looking forward to welcoming the 26-year-old back to action. He said: “Aaron Cresswell is back. He has started training for a couple of weeks with the physio’s and the fitness coaches. He has started to train with us and has had 10 days training. He looks good, sharp and will be in the squad.”
West Ham were without a recognised senior left-back for their last match, and ended up having to play Alvaro Arbeloa out of position.
West Ham have badly missed Cresswell’s talents so far this season, and they will be hoping his return coincides with an upturn in their form.
The Hammers have been woeful throughout the campaign so far, and currently sit in 18th place in the Premier League table.
If West Ham can get a win against Palace at the weekend, they could move up to 14th, which would relieve some of the pressure on Bilic.
